In my dream I went to my cousins very simple backyard wedding. He is w cousin that has not got married in real life and we are not sure if he will. Before the wedding I gave my brother a lot of bananas. At the wedding I brought bread for appetizers. During the reception I saw old students of mine. Somehow i missed the speech my brother gave to my cousin, everyone thought i was getting shoes but i dont know what i was doing. Before the end of the wedding the whole family was circled up talking in the living room. In an empty chair i saw my poppy who passed 10 years ago. He was rocking in a recliner, i could here his voice. He said that one of his dogs had changed and gotten big. My nana seemed to see him in the chair too but no one else. He shortley got up and walked out the front door. As he was walking away his leg started bleeding. He went out the front door and across the street. On his way he put down some car keys. I looked away for a second and looked back across the street and he was gone. My husband then took me home from the wedding he had to stop by sonic on the way home and get a treat. I got some waffle type pies. On the way home i could barely speak and get words out, although i kept trying. My voice was not working. When we got home (which was some random house ive never seen before but felt like my house) my husband and i took a shower together during the shower the blinders were open so i had to shut all of them so no one could see in. When i got out i dried off and looked out the window. I saw someone get pulled over, so i shut those curtains too. On my way to the bedroom i found an area with 3 different radios/speaking that were all on and i turned each of them off. I also turned off lights and made sure my husband locked the doors throughout the house. When we walked by the kitchen i remembered we needed to pull out the treats we made they were cake pops. I removed them from the trays and ate several of them with my husband. I than began cleaning up a bunch of the cake pops sticks and putting the rest of them away in containers. We finally cleaned up the kitchen and turned off lights and headed for our bedroom to sleep. Thats where the dream the ended.
This dream is rich with symbols and elements that might represent various aspects of your waking life, emotions, or subconscious mind. Here's a detailed interpretation of the dream:
Cousin’s Wedding: A simple backyard wedding could symbolize simplicity and contentment with the basics, or it may signify a desire for a closer familial connection. Since your cousin isn't married in real life and there's uncertainty about his future marital status, this could reflect your own thoughts about relationships and commitments, both in observing others’ lives and in your own.
Bananas and Bread: Bananas often symbolize fertility, growth, or nourishment, while bread can stand for sustenance, sharing, or comfort, especially at social gatherings. Giving your brother bananas and bringing bread to the appetizers might reflect a subconscious desire to nurture and support those close to you.
Missing the Speech: Missing your brother’s speech could relate to feelings of being out of touch or disconnected in some aspects of family communication. Everyone thinking you were off getting shoes suggests a misunderstanding or miscommunication about your intentions or actions.
Old Students: Seeing old students could symbolize reflection on the past or a desire to rekindle old talents and skills. It could also indicate how past experiences shape your current identity.
Poppy and Nana’s Appearance: Encountering your deceased Poppy signifies contact with your roots and past wisdom. Hearing his voice and seeing him with your Nana may reflect cherished memories or unresolved feelings regarding family heritage. His bleeding leg and departure might symbolize unresolved past issues, loss, or the passage of time.
Sonic and Waffle Pies: The stop at Sonic and eating waffle pies might not have a deeper symbolic meaning but instead reflect a simple pleasure or comfort food nostalgia.
Loss of Voice: Struggling to speak often points to a feeling of being unheard or stifled in waking life. It suggests a reconnection with communication struggles or feeling repressed.
New Home: Being in an unfamiliar house that feels like home may suggest changes and transitions, or embracing new aspects of yourself that feel genuine yet unfamiliar.
Privacy and Security: Closing blinds, turning off radios, and locking doors signify a need for privacy, security, or control over your personal environment. The shutting of curtains when someone got pulled over could express a wish to shield yourself from external chaos or judgment.
Cake Pops: The making and sharing of cake pops with your husband symbolize joy, creativity, and companionship. Cleaning up after indicates taking responsibility and clearing up after joyous occasions, or perhaps managing indulgences with care.
Overall, your dream appears to revolve around family, connections, security, and self-reflection on personal growth and past influences. It balances between nurturing relationships and ensuring personal security, reflecting on past legacies and shaping current life circumstances amidst change. Embracing these elements might provide insights and balance into your waking life.
